Most executives are thinking about thought leadership wrong.


They make their content it about themselves instead of the problems their industry needs solved.


Thought leadership isn’t a mirror. It’s a spotlight aimed at the issues your market is struggling with.


When it turns into personal branding, the message sounds like: look at me, look at what I’ve done. That doesn’t inspire followership.


The shift comes when you use your expertise to frame problems in new ways, question assumptions, and show what progress looks like. That is when people start paying attention. Not because of who you are, but because you help them think differently and act smarter.


That’s the difference between a resume and a reputation. One lists what you’ve done. The other proves why your perspective matters.
